I'm Jen Greer, a branding photographer in Portland, Oregon. Your brand is more than a logo. It's you, and the way you look online tells clients who you are and what you do. A headshot shows people your face. Branding photography shows your business. Your session includes classic head-and-shoulders portraits, plus environmental and lifestyle images: you in your space, at work, interacting with clients, along with detail shots of your products and views of your space. We can work with your brand colors, tones and props so everything feels like you. Together they give you a full range of photos for your website, email campaigns, social media and advertising. My branding sessions work well for entrepreneurs, business owners, coaches, consultants and creatives, as well as restaurants, doctors’ offices, stores, corporate teams, personal brands, and product or service businesses. I especially love supporting local small businesses in and around Portland, and I’m proud to be a women-, BIPOC- and LGBTQ+-friendly photographer.

What to Expect

  1. Discovery call. We have a phone or Zoom call to talk about who you are, what your business does, where you work, who your clients are, and what you need these photos for. From there, we outline the goals of your session.
  2. Session planning. We map out locations, outfits, and props.
  3. Photo session. I guide you through it, whether we're at your workspace, outdoors, or on location.
  4. Image delivery. You receive a curated gallery of edited images, ready to use on your website, social media, and marketing materials.

Half-Day, Full-Day, and Multi-Day Branding Sessions

How long we shoot depends on what you need. A smaller project might take a half day. A bigger brand refresh could take a full day or several. Outfit changes are included, so your gallery has real variety, and a makeup artist is available if you'd like one.

On-Location Branding Photos in Portland

Your session can happen wherever fits your brand: your office, your favorite coffee shop, or out around Portland. If you want something clean and minimal, I can set up a studio-style look right in your space.

Branding Photography FAQs

Why Do I Need Branding Photography If I Already Have Headshots?

A headshot gives you one image of one person. A branding session gives you a variety of images to draw on for email campaigns, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and ads, and you’ll get head-and-shoulders portraits too. We live in an image-driven world, and the right photos help you tell your story.

What Will You Photograph for Me?

It depends on what you do and what you need. We’ll start with a phone or Zoom call about who you are, what your business does, where you work and who your clients are. From there we’ll outline the goals of your session.

How Can I Use My Branding Images?

Most clients use them for social media ([Instagram] and [Facebook]), email campaigns, websites and advertising. I’ll provide a set of images for those online platforms, and I can provide print-sized images if you need them. Branding images are created for professional use. See my Copyright Info page for details, and tell me if a publisher or agency will be using them.

How Long Does a Branding Session Take?

A smaller project might take a half day, and a bigger brand refresh could take a full day or several. We’ll decide together on the discovery call.

Can You Photograph My Team, My Products or My Space?

Yes. Branding sessions can include portraits of you and your employees, you in action, interactions with others, detail shots of your products and views of your space.

What Should I Wear?

We can discuss this in our discovery call. I encourage you to feel like you, but dress for your business. Would you normally wear suits, or are you more casual? Do you have uniforms? Are you interested in bringing in your branding colors to keep your look unified? Multiple wardrobe changes are also encouraged, to give you as much variety as possible.

Can You Provide a Makeup Artist?

Yes, a makeup artist is available if you’d like one. Just let me know.

Can We Do More Than One Session a Year?

Yes. Some clients book a one-time session for a specific campaign, and others book multiple sessions so they have fresh content throughout the year.

How Many Images Will I Get, and How Soon?

Volume of images will depend on what we plan on for your specific session. An average half day branding session tends to produce 300 images for you to choose from. This would cover various headshots in different set ups and wardrobe, group portraits, details and location shots and anything else we discuss capturing in your planning session.

How Much Does Branding Photography Cost in Portland?

Every session is designed from scratch, so I quote each job individually, with no set packages and no hidden fees. Pricing depends on your goals, the content you need, and how long we shoot.
