Valerie Roth is a Portland, Oregon entrepreneur and the creator of FireBrew, a line of health tonics. For her branding session, she wanted photos that show off herself and her product together, for her website, Facebook and Instagram. Here’s how it came together.
A small product business is built on its founder as much as its product. Valerie wanted images that show who’s behind FireBrew, and the product she’s proud of, in one place. Her top priority was imagery for social media and her website.
We headed downtown to the Portland Parks Block area, to get a very local feeling backdrop for her images. I spent a couple hours getting her fresh product photos in an outdoor environment and some photos of her with her product, so she could put a face behind what she has created.
Valerie received a curated gallery of 200 edited images, including portraits, images of her with her product, which is what we honed in on in our planning session. They were sized for online use, with print-sized files available when she needed them.
Valerie uses her branding images on her website, Facebook and Instagram.
If you make or sell something, your photos need to show both the product and the person behind it. A session for a food, drink or product business can include portraits for your website, images of you with your product, detail shots, and photos for social media. I’ll plan it around your brand and your customers.
I’m based in SW Portland and love working with local businesses. Whether you’re a founder in Portland or the surrounding area, we can plan a location that fits your brand.
