Darlene Sochin is a Portland-based Reiki healer who needed new images that show off her sparkling personality and easygoing nature. We had a great time roaming around the Alberta Arts District, getting fun portraits for her professional brand. Here’s how it came together.
People who seek out a Reiki healer are looking for someone they can trust and feel at ease with, so her photos needed to feel warm and genuine. Darlene wanted images that show who she is.SHe also needed images to use for marketing herself through social media.
We spent a few hours wandering the Alberta Arts District, using its brightly colored buildings, murals and graffiti as our backdrop. I photographed Darlene laughing and walking, in close portraits and full-body shots, and through lots of outfit changes, keeping things relaxed and playful.
Darlene received a curated gallery of 250 edited images. They were sized for online use, with print-sized files available when she needed them.
Darlene uses her branding session photos for all her marketing needs and anywhere she needs to show her face, like her LinkedIn profile.
