Arianna Horvath is a hair stylist in Portland, Oregon. For her branding session, I created images that show her talent and personality, from candid shots of her at work in her salon to styled portraits that capture her creativity. Here’s how it came together.
Arianna Horvath blends the latest trends with timeless techniques to create looks that reflect each client’s individuality and personality. She’s certified in three different hair extensions methods and custom color, which lets her customize the experience for each client.
Branding isn’t just about promoting services. It’s about telling your story and connecting with the people you want to work with. Arianna wanted images that show who she is behind the chair as well as what she does. Her top priority was new images for her website redesign and social media.
We started with a 30-minute phone call to talk through her vision, her clients and where she’d use the images, and to brainstorm the session together. We decided what she needed to capture what she wanted was a couple hour session. I photographed Arianna at work in her salon, plus styled portraits that show her creativity and flair. Her space is beautiful, so detail shots of her décor rounded out the session and show what it feels like to be there. I even brought in a model so Arianna could be photographed at work with a client.
Arianna received a curated gallery of 150 edited images: candid action shots, portraits, and detail shots of her salon space. They’re sized for online use, with print-sized files available when she needs them.
Arianna uses her branding images on her redesigned website, on Instagram and across her other social media accounts.
